– Thread Repair
The innovative compact solution for your threading equipment.
With the PROFICOIL thread repair kits you can repair damaged or worn threads quickly and economically. Wear, corrosion or excessive screw tightening torque can lead to thread damage. The wear-free thread inserts can be used not only to repair threads, but also to increase the thread load-bearing capacity, which is often very useful especially with materials such as aluminium, magnesium or plastic. The result is a highly resilient thread which is resistant to corrosion and temperature. This method is widely used in mechanical engineering, automotive and electrical engineering.

Drilling
Damaged threads are drilled out with a twist drill. Countersink the hole with a 90° countersink to deburr.

Thread
Use the tap to cut the holding thread into the drilled hole. Use of cutting oil is recommended.

Installation of the threaded insert
Place the matching threaded insert with the driving pin in the groove of the insertion tool and fix the adjusting ring.

Screwing in of the thread insert
Screw the insert in the thread direction.

Tang breaker
Take out the insertion tool and remove the tang with the tang breaker.

New thread
The new thread has the exact size of the original thread.
